(Sports Network) - Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson was diagnosed with a soft tissue infection in his neck and remains in a Boston hospital for further evaluation, the team said Monday.
Gibson missed the Cavaliers' 88-87 win over the Celtics on Sunday. The teams will play the second game of a home-and-home series in Cleveland on Tuesday but Gibson has already been ruled out.
He was at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and was receiving antibiotics for the infection, the Cavs said.
