CLEVELAND --- Anthony Sowell, 50, of Cleveland, was arraigned Thursday morning on attempted murder, rape, felonious assault, and kidnapping charges. Sowell did not appear but attorney Brian R. McGraw, who was assigned to defend him, appeared on his behalf. His case will be heard by Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge John Sutula.
CLEVELAND -- The Cuyahoga County Coroner says that, as of Wednesday afternoon, 11 victims have been recovered from the Imperial Avenue home where Anthony Sowell, who was convicted of attempted rape previously, lived and one victim has been positively identified.

CLEVELAND -- The Cuyahoga County Coroner's office has confirmed that 17-year-old Brandon Young, of Sable Road in Cleveland, died today after he was shot this past Saturday. Young died at 2:43 a.m. Thursday at MetroHealth Medical Center.
ERIE COUNTY -- The Erie County Sheriff's Office has discovered murder suspect David L. "Jody" Kromer dead in a cottage at the Firefly Beach & Resort Motel on state Route 6 in Vermilion.
CANAL FULTON -- A man suspected of robbing a local pharmacy was arrested as a result of anonymous tips. The Canal Fulton police arrested Mitchel Gavin Wymer in connection with the Oct. 7 robbery at the Heritage Square Pharmacy on East Cherry Street.
PARMA -- Parma Police detectives have arrested registered sex offender Brad R. Means, 30, of Cleveland, on sexual battery charges. He allegedly pressured a 16-year-old old employee he supervised at a KFC restaurant into having sex with him.
CLEVELAND -- With more than a month and a half still left in the year, the number of Cleveland homicides in 2009 is already close to the count for all of last year.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Police say a former employee accused of fatally shooting one person and wounding five others at an Orlando, Fla., engineering firm thought it had blocked his efforts to obtain unemployment benefits.
