AKRON -- The adult son on an Akron woman has been charged in her death.
Akron Police say they were called to the Highview Avenue home Wednesday night to check on the welfare of Pat Sees, 72.
Police found Sees' body in her bedroom. She had been stabbed multiple times in the chest.
Police found her son, Daniel E. Smelko, 48, in the house.
Smelko has been charged with murder and is in custody.
Police say Smelko and his mother had been in an argument earlier in the evening.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
