WILLOUGHBY HILLS -- A Euclid man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the murder of a man stuffed in a car trunk.

Kyle Basinger, 22, pleaded guilty in Lake County Common Pleas Court this morning to aggravated murder in the death of William Andrew Fayne Putzbach, 21, of Willowick.

Police found Putzbach's body stuffed into the trunk of his car at a Willoughby Hills apartment complex last April.

Putzbach's family had to sign off on the plea deal for Basinger which took the death penalty off the table.

Basinger told the court his drug addiction fueled the murder.

One accomplice has already been found guilty and sentenced to life without parole. A second accomplice is scheduled to go on trial in May.
