CLEVELAND -- Gunshots rang out early Sunday afternoon, sending one person to the hospital.
Cleveland Police say it happened around 1 p.m. in the area of East 105th Street and Kempton Road following an apparent argument.
Upon arrival, officers found a man in a bus stop shelter who said he had been shot at during the incident, but was not hit.
Cleveland Police say the man reported being approached by four or five men, which resulted in a verbal argument. When one member of the group reportedly produced a gun, so did the man at the bus stop.
As they exchanged gunfire, neither shooter was injured, but police say one member of the group was hit. All members of the group then ran off.
The 23-year-old victim was taken by an unknown party to the VA Hospital and dropped off. One member of the group was arrested shortly after the incident when police say he arrived at the hospital to check the status of the victim.
The man in the bus stop was also arrested and police confiscated a gun. The victim has since been taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
His name or condition have not been released. The incident remains under investigation.
