CLEVELAND -- As Governor Kasich prepares for his State of the State address, we have learned that he is likely to commend Mayor Frank Jackson for trying to reform urban education.
Late Monday, Channel 3 News has learned that key Cleveland education stakeholders are meeting with Mayor Jackson about his plans for the schools.
A spokesman for Governor Kasich says the Governor will talk about Mayor Jackson's effort to build community and foundation support for the schools.
The State of the State address will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wells Academy in Steubenville, a poor school that has high academic results.
