COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The man suspected of murdering an Ashland woman was allegedly spotted in Columbus, Ohio Tuesday night, but a search of the area turned up nothing.
Columbus police received a call that Nathan Summerfield, 27, was spotted in the city late Tuesday night. When officers searched the area, they did not locate Summerfield or his car.
Summerfield is wanted in connection with the murder of Ashland, Ohio mother Lynn Jackenheimer, 33, whose body was recently found in North Carolina.
Dare County Sheriff J. D. Doughtie said Jackenheimer died from strangulation and stab wounds.
Summerfield, Jackenheimer's estranged boyfriend, is believed to be driving a dark grey 2009 Honda Civic, with the license plate FMV 7540.
If you see the vehicle or Summerfield, or know where he may be, contact police.
