CLEVELAND -- KeyBank will offer its free Super Refund Saturday tax prep service on February 4.
The event will take place at St. Ignatius High School, located at 1911 W. 30th Street, in Cleveland from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The free service includes one-on-one confidential help to file personal income tax returns. It also assists qualifying individuals to receive the Earned Income Tax Credit, a measure which helps low and moderate income workers.
It's estimated that about $2 billion in EITC money was claimed in Ohio last year, with the average EITC return totalling $2,170. But still KeyBank says many taxpayers don't even know about the credit and may be missing out.
This is the seventh year KeyBank has offered its free Super Refund Saturday. KeyBank partners with local organizations in the community such as, St. Ignatius High School, United Way, the Cleveland Housing Network, and the EITC Coalition to make this day possible.
To qualify for EITC your earned income must be less than:
- $43,998 with three or more qualifying children ($49,078, married, filing jointly)
- $40,954 with two qualifying children ($46,044, married, filing jointly)
- $36,052 with one qualifying child ( $41,132, married, filing jointly)
- $13,660 with no qualifying children ( $18,740, married, filing jointly)
Income tax return filers should remember to bring the following items with them:
- W-2 Forms (reporting full-time wages)
- 1099 Forms (reporting part-time work and interest income)
- Unemployment forms
- Proof of child care payments
- Social Security card for themselves and each department
- Other IRS forms as necessary
- Bank accound information and bank routing number
- Valid photo ID
- Previous year's tax return
