Hollie's Dish of the Week: Tammy's Stuffed Pepper Soup

Stuffed Pepper Soup

Ingredients

            1 (8 7/8 ounce) envelope ready to serve long grain and wild rice blend

            1 lb ground beef

            2 cups chopped green peppers

            1 cup chopped onions

            1 (26 ounce) jar chunky tomato spaghetti sauce

            1 (14 ounce) can Italian style diced tomatoes, undrained

            1 (14 ounce) can beef broth

 

Directions

            1.  Prepare rice according to package directions. 

            2.  In a large saucepan, cook the beef, green peppers and onions until meat is no

longer pink.  Drain off excess fat.  Add spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, broth and the prepared rice to the meat mixture and heat through.
