INDIANAPOLIS -- If you want to know the who's who in town for the Super Bowl, ask the concierges at the swanky hotels.
If you want an autograph, ask Matt Curtis and Adam Bolinger. They are both from Northeast Ohio.
The pair met when Progressive Field was still known as The Jake. Waiting for autographs, the pair became friends.
Now they travel around the country to hot spots where they know celebrities will be.
Their spot Wednesday outside the JW Marriott was all a part of their game plan. The brand new hotel is the official spot for media. Several players were stopping by for interviews.
The men, on the lookout for retired New England Patriot Rodney Harrison, spent about an hour running back and forth between the hotel and the Indianapolis Indians baseball stadium across the street.
The ball field had been transformed into the broadcast center for the Dan Patrick show, on which Harrison was expected to be a guest Wednesday.
Somehow Harris slipped by them and out into a black SUV with tinted windows. But somehow they realized they'd found their man. Determined, they ran into traffic and scored an autograph.
According to the guys, Harrison laughed, "you've got to be kidding me!" as he rolled down the window and took the pen and paper.
In addition to Harrison, on this trip, they've scored Kurt Warner, Mike Epps, a famous comedian from Indianapolis and the Super Bowl ambassador, and Von Miller are among the autographs they racked up this trip.
Why do they do it?
"It's the chase," Curits said.
A chase that is sure to continue long after the clock runs out on Super Bowl XLVI.
