MAYFIELD HEIGHTS -- Pet lovers looking to adopt got their "PAWS" moving to a recent adoption event.
The Public Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of Ohio held an "adopt-a-thon" on Saturday, March 12 at the Mayfield Heights PetSmart in Golden Gate Plaza.
Adoption booths were set up inside the store and the event ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Screeners were available in the store so pet lovers could take home their new furry friends the same day.
The animal foster homes in the area are experiencing a lot of crowding this winter. As a result, the puppies and kittens, cats and dogs from the system need good, loving, permanent homes so these foster homes can take on new animals.
