Cleveland: Man found dead with gunshot wound

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Police are looking for information surrounding the death of a shooting victim.

Sgt. Sammy Morris tells Channel 3 News that the police responded to 13301 Horner Avenue Thursday afternoon shortly after 4:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a 35-year-old Kenneth L. Thomas, of Horner Avenue.,with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

During their preliminary investigation, they found that a passing motorist saw the man lying unresponsive and called 911. 

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office will be performing an autopsy to determine his cause of death.
