WESTLAKE -- Call it the next sexual revolution.

Several chain stores, including Target, CVS and Walgreen's, are now putting personal massagers on their store shelves.

It's a trend making sex toys mainstream and it's working.  Vibrator sales nearly doubled since 2007 when consumers could buy them at the corner drug store.

But some are concerned about children seeing them in stores where it's common to bring the kids.

The adult sex stores may have some competition, but don't expect to find handcuffs and hard core items. However, sex is part of life and Max-Wellness saw the opportunity when they opened two years ago.

"Sexual well being products are as important as any other vitamin supplement or anything else we carry," says Gayle McCormick, VP Merchandising & Medical Center Development for Max-Wellness.

They carry everything from intimate devices to videos and sexual supplements that are not shocking to their customers who are looking for anything and everything to better their lifestyle.

"By the time they reach the sexual well-being aisle, they're really ready to understand that it's part of a total health package," McCormick says.

Others are happy to see people, especially women, have more options. A drug store may be less intimidating for some than an adult sex shop.
